During the reign of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, the Iranian government allocated approximately USD 400,000 for the construction of a Jewish Hospital in Tehran. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani also erected a monument to honor Iranian Jewish soldiers who died in the Iran-Iraq War, considering them an integral part of the Iranian nation.
Iranian Jews also held several demonstrations condemning Israeli attacks on the Palestinian territories, Gaza and the West Bank, as well as Israeli attacks on Iran. One demonstration was led by Iranian Jewish leader Rabbi Younes Hamami Lalehzar; Member of the Iranian Parliament representing Iranian Jews Homayoun Samiah Najafabadi; and Head of the Shura Council of the Iranian Jewish Community Harav Yehuda Gerami. They reiterated their condemnation of Iranian Jews for the crimes of Israeli Zionism and the ongoing genocide in Gaza, Palestine.
