SENAYANPOST - Minister of Religion (Menag) Nasaruddin Umar also responded to the alleged corruption case in the implementation of the 2024 hajj.

Nasaruddin said that he did not know about the alleged corruption in the implementation of the 2024 hajj.

"I don't know about 2024," said Nasaruddin to the media crew at the Istiqlal Mosque, Central Jakarta, on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

For the implementation of the 2025 hajj, Nasaruddin assured that there were no problems or irregularities.

"What's important is, God willing, we guarantee that there will be none in 2025," he added.

The alleged case in the implementation of the 2024 hajj during the era of Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas is related to the procurement of hajj quotas.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating the alleged corruption after several reports were received.

For this case, the KPK chairman had revealed that there was a possibility of asking for information from Yaqut.

Meanwhile, the 2025 hajj operation has entered the phase of returning pilgrims to Indonesia.

Having been given a diplomatic note from the Saudi Arabian Embassy regarding the implementation of the 2025 hajj, the Ministry of Religion claims that most of it has been completed.
