SENAYANPOST - The increasing escalation of the war conflict between Iran and Israel is currently raising concerns for some of the international public about the emergence of World War 3.
So far, missile exchanges are still occurring between the two countries. Meanwhile, the US has reportedly moved its warships and fighter jets to the Middle East since the Iran vs Israel war broke out on June 13, 2025.
This step was taken amid the possibility that the US will help Israel attack Iran.
Most recently, the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono alias SBY, also highlighted the war between Iran and Israel, saying that the world is now threatened with being on the brink of disaster.
"Currently, the situation in the Middle East is increasingly dangerous. If the Iran-Israel War gets out of control, the world is truly on the brink of disaster," said SBY via the X @SBYudhoyono account which was posted on Thursday, June 19, 2025.
SBY then mentioned a number of key figures who he considered very influential in 'cooling the atmosphere' of the Iran vs Israel conflict. These figures include US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
"The future of the world, in terms of peace and security, in the future will be determined by five strong men. The first and second are Benjamin Netanyahu and Ali Khamenei. While the third, fourth and fifth (who are even stronger) are Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping," he said.
The figure who was born in Pacitan, East Java said that the central egos of these world leaders also now need to be restrained. Because, if miscalculated, it could cause destruction everywhere.
"Hopefully, God will grant these five leaders wisdom and clarity of mind in making decisions and taking action. There should be no wrong decisions and "miscalculations", " SBY explained.
"If they are reckless and wrong, it will cause death and terrible destruction in many nations and countries," he added.
Reflecting on this, previously, the two countries in the Middle East had indeed expressed threats to each other.
The Iranian camp said that the war would end if Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu died, and conversely Israel said that the end of the war would be seen if Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed.
"History records that many wars originated from the ego and ambition of power holders. From century to century, there have always been "warlike leaders". In fact, in reality, people around the world love peace and tranquility more," SBY explained.
"A major war, especially World War 3, can still be prevented. It must be prevented. There is still time and a way," he concluded.*
