SENAYANPOST - There is a hoax circulating that Prof. Dr. General TNI (ret.) Abdullah Mahmud Hendropriyono was rushed to the hospital due to exhaustion. It turns out that the former Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) had indeed been scheduled long ago to undergo cardiac ablation.
After celebrating his 80th birthday, General (ret.) TNI and Professor of the State Intelligence College, AM Hendropriyono underwent a cardiac ablation procedure at the RS Jantung Diagram Siloam Heart Hospital, Cinere Jakarta.
Cardiac ablation is a procedure used to correct irregular heart rhythms or heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias). This procedure is done by destroying or removing the heart tissue that causes the irregular heart rhythm using heat or cold energy.
AM Hendropriyono said that this cardiac ablation procedure was carried out to treat the heart rhythm disorders or arrhythmias that he experienced.
"I was scheduled to undergo a cardiac ablation to treat my arrhythmia," said AM Hendropriyono, quoted from Instagram @kilat.media on Monday, June 2, 2025.
In the procedure, Hendropriyono's cardiac ablation was carried out by a renowned heart specialist, Professor Harry Suryapranata.
This cardiac ablation was carried out by Doctor Harry Suryapranata using hot or cold energy to destroy abnormal heart tissue that causes abnormal heart rhythms.
The medical procedure went smoothly and successfully.
Currently, AM Hendropriyono is in a stable and healthy condition and is undergoing a recovery period.
Hendropriyono also revealed that the cardiac ablation procedure he underwent prevented a stroke diagnosis.
Yes, so the suspicion that I would have a stroke in the near future collapsed. Because from the symptoms it was predicted that there would be a stroke in the near future, (but) because (of the cardiac ablation procedure) it is possible that the suspicion will collapse. "So this ablation, in addition to preventing serious complications from arrhythmia, also prevents strokes," explained Hendropriyono.
Now the former Minister of Transmigration and Settlements, Forest Encroachment is in good health and is undergoing post-procedure recovery at his residence.
