Rosan had served as Deputy Minister of SOEs in President Joko Widodo's Cabinet, before being appointed as Chair of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team for the 2024 Presidential Election.
Now, Rosan has returned to government as Minister of Investment and is part of the Red and White Cabinet led by Prabowo Subianto.
Currently, the task of representing the Indonesian government to America is carried out by the chargé d'affaires or charge d'affaires ad interim. The person holding the position is Ida Bagus Made Bimantara or Sade Bimantara, a career diplomat who previously served as Deputy Indonesian Ambassador to America when Rosan resigned.
