SENAYANPOST - The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Jakarta in a press statement received by Senayan Post on Monday, March 24, 2025, conveyed its congratulations on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr which this year coincides with the celebration of Nowruz and the beginning of the Iranian new year to all Muslims, especially the honorable people of Indonesia. Without a doubt, the month of Ramadan is an extraordinary opportunity for Muslims around the world to strengthen their faith and piety in the spirit of spirituality and solidarity, and to walk together towards justice, truth, and the unity of Muslims.

This year, in the holy month of Ramadan, when Muslims in Gaza do not have basic facilities for fasting, the Zionist regime has again launched its brutal attacks. In just one day, around 300 people — including many women and children — have been martyred as a result of the attacks. Undoubtedly, the stain of this crime will remain in history as an eternal shame for the regime and its supporters who not only failed to prevent this injustice but also supported it with full military and logistical assistance.

At a time when many governments and international organizations remain passive towards the crimes of the Zionist regime and fail to take real steps to establish justice for the Palestinian people, the active role of the people and conscious nations becomes increasingly important to hold the international community accountable and confront this oppressive regime effectively.

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Indonesia expresses its highest appreciation to the Government and people of Indonesia, who for more than seven decades of struggle against this occupying regime, have always stood with the Palestinian people and supported them as the Iranian people have.

This year's International Al-Quds Day, which coincides with a new wave of crimes by the Zionist regime, can be an important turning point in the joint struggle of the two peoples against the occupying Israeli regime, which in recent months has massacred more than 50 thousand innocent men, women and children.

As is known, the International Al Quds Day — initiated by the Great Founder of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Imam Khomeini RA — is commemorated every last Friday of the month of Ramadan as a symbol of resistance against oppression and occupation, and as a form of support for the Palestinian people in achieving their legitimate rights. On this day, the world community seeks to show support for the oppressed Palestinian people and express anger and hatred for the occupation and crimes for decades by the Zionist regime.

Ahead of the International Al Quds Day, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Jakarta once again condemns the ongoing violations by the occupying regime and the gross violations of the rights of the Palestinian people. The embassy calls on all countries, international organizations, and free people of the world to increase political, economic, and media pressure on the Zionist regime to help the Palestinian people achieve their legitimate and humanitarian rights.*
