SENAYANPOST - Initiator of The Science of Intelligence Philosophy General (ret.) AM Hendropriyono highlighted the dynamics of the Middle East region, especially regarding Iran, Palestine, and the Hamas movement.
As is known, the war between Israel and Hamas is still ongoing.
Then some time ago the world was shocked by the 12-day war between Iran and Israel.

In a discussion on the Mahfud MD Official YouTube channel quoted by SenayanPost.com on Saturday, June 28, 2025, Hendropriyono assessed that the situation there was full of emotion, even though all parties actually understood that war only brings destruction.
"Even though everyone knows that the winner becomes charcoal and the loser becomes ash, the emotions are still high," said Hendropriyono.
He assessed that Iran's self-confidence cannot be separated from Persia's long history as a nation of warriors.
"Iran believes in its own strength because this country has historically been a champion in war," he said.
"If only Persia had not lost in the past, the story of world history would have been different," he added.
Hendropriyono also touched on the development of the situation in Palestine, especially Hamas' increasingly strong position in the Gaza Strip.
"I have long observed that there is anxiety, the first in Palestine. The Hamas faction is getting stronger and more influential and even sovereign in the Gaza Strip, this is anxiety," he explained.
He then recalled his personal meeting with the late Yasser Arafat, the legendary Palestinian leader.
"When the late Yasser Arafat came here, I happened to be the officer who was guarding him. I was very lucky, I heard a lot of stories from him about Palestine,"
According to him, Arafat's message was very clear: the Palestinian struggle can only succeed through political means.
