SENAYANPOST – President Prabowo Subianto's good intention to treat injured victims, especially orphans from the Gaza Strip Palestine in Indonesia has received support from many parties. One of them is the Chairman of the National Zakat Agency (Baznas) of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. KH Noor Achmad MA.
"We strongly support the evacuation of injured victims from Gaza Palestine. Especially injured orphans. The information we received from our partners in Egypt, Jordan and Gaza Palestine itself, stated that many of the injured children were already orphans," he said in a mobile interview with the Senayan Post on Friday, April 18, 2025.
Israeli attacks after the ceasefire were more brutal than the attacks before the ceasefire. In fact, a number of victims, especially children, suffered from dangerous diseases.
"The King Husain Cancer Center in Jordan provided information that many Palestinian children have cancer," he explained.
The evacuation idea only accommodates thousands of Palestinian Gazans, not the relocation of Palestinian Gazans totaling 2.2 million people as proposed by the President of the United States (US) Donald Trump.
"Don't link it to Trump's relocation idea," he said.
The Professor of Islamic Law at Wahid Hasyim University in Semarang hopes that the Indonesian Government will prioritize the evacuation of injured victims from among orphaned children.
"Their future needs to be saved. Many children in Gaza are illiterate. Let alone going to school, they run here and there because they are being chased by Israeli bombs and missiles," he explained.
The Chairman of the Center Council of Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) asked the Indoensian public not to close their eyes because of political issues because the Palestinian issue is a humanitarian issue.
"We must not close our eyes because of political matters, this is an extraordinary humanitarian matter. Moreover, recently Israel's cruelty has become increasingly cruel," he concluded.
President Prabowo Subianto's good intentions to treat injured victims and children from Gaza, Palestine, were conveyed in June 2024 while still serving as Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia, long before US President Donald Trump was inaugurated at the end of January 2025. (Muqoddas).
