SENAYANPOST - The Gala Welcoming Dinner for VECONAC ASEAN delegates amidst heated regional and global dynamics, provided a sense of brotherhood and stability, especially in Southeast Asia.

This impression remains etched in the hearts of the leaders of the Indonesian Veterans Legion (LVRI) when they welcomed veteran delegates from across Southeast Asia to the Kraton Majapahit Jakarta in December 2025.

As a token of appreciation for the important role of the Majapahit Palace in Jakarta, the LVRI Central Executive Board presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the founder and chairman of the Kraton Majapahit Jakarta, General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Abdullah Mahmud Hendropriyono, on Friday, January 30, 2026.

The Certificate of Appreciation was presented directly by the Chairman of the LVRI Central Executive Board, Lieutenant General (Ret.) H.B.L. Mantiri.

In his remarks, the former Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) expressed his pride in the LVRI, which under the leadership of Lieutenant General (Ret.) H.B.L. Mantiri was so prominent.

"I am truly proud because Mr. Mantiri's leadership is so prominent and he pays so much attention to the regions," he said.

The Professor of Intelligence Philosophy further explained that the purpose of building the Majapahit Palace in Jakarta was to raise awareness among the younger generation about the history of the Indonesian archipelago, which successfully consolidated peace and prosperity across the Indonesian archipelago.

"This place was indeed created with the aim of raising awareness among the younger generation about the history of the Indonesian archipelago," he explained.

At the Gala Welcoming Dinner, all the veteran delegates from Southeast Asian countries appeared happy and sang together, seemingly forgetting the conflict and escalating tensions. It is hoped that this sense of camaraderie among Southeast Asian veterans will contribute to the creation of stability in the Southeast Asian region.

The Majapahit Empire, which ruled the Nusantara archipelago for 234 years, successfully repelled foreign influences and brought prosperity to the people of Southeast Asia.
